Burglars escaped with a bumper haul of jewellery and electronic items after breaking into a home on a busy road.

Between 2pm on Saturday and 1pm yesterday, criminals entered the house in Howard Avenue, Aylesbury, by removing the rear door lock.

They stole jewellery including a gold wedding ring, a laptop, a camera and camera lens.

Investigating officer, PC Sam Stansbie from Aylesbury police station, said: “This offence occurred on a busy road and it is likely that people may have noticed something around the time of the burglary. If anyone saw any vehicles or people which appeared out of the ordinary, please call 101.”
