Police charge two men with variety of offences relating to Christmas incident

Stephen Hughes, aged 25, of Priory Crescent, Aylesbury, has been charged with Section 20 grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and a breach of a restraining order.

Franklin Hughes, aged 31, of Station Close, Wycombe, has been charged with assault by beating, possession of an offensive weapon and actual bodily harm.

The charges relate to an incident in Bicester Road, Aylesbury in the early hours of 23 December 2019 when two men and a woman were assaulted.

One of the men suffered cuts to his face and the other man suffered cuts to the side of his head and a fractured elbow.

The woman suffered a graze above her lip and during the incident, vehicles and fencing were damaged.

Stephen and Franklin Hughes have been charged via postal requisition on 24 February and 30 April respectively.

They have both been bailed to appear at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on 25 May.
