Thames Valley Police officers were called to the 'popular supermarket's' car park this weekend.

But unfortunately for the driver, who was displaying his finest 'drifting' skills, they had failed to spot the eagle eyed police officers watching the whole incident.

Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, with loss of traction, while maintaining control and driving the car through the entirety of a corner.

Drift racing is very dangerous, since there is little control available during the turns which can result in crashes or the vehicle flipping altogether.

Even though drifting can be really dangerous, it has become quite a prominent racing style around the world.

Thames Valley Police posted to their facebook page this morning:

"We saw first hand some beautiful drifting around a popular supermarket car park.

"Fortunately for us, we saw the whole thing.

"Unfortunately for the driver he didn’t spot the Police car across the way before burning rubber!

"The driver has been reported for careless driving, unfortunately he’s already “completed” driver education scheme so will now receive points and a hefty fine. #shuttergoingtocourt"
