A man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage girl as she was travelling to Aylesbury on the train.
Luke Hollyfield, 53, of Roman Road, Wheatley, inappropriately touched the 15-year-old girl on March 1 as the Chiltern Line train travelled between Wycombe and Princes Risborough.
The girl’s father said she had been heading into Aylesbury when she was attacked.
“She has been very brave,” he said.
“She had to give evidence against him in court and she did really well, keeping calm.
“But who knows what the long-term effects are on her.
“We are a very supportive family and we got her through it.
“In one respect she was so determined to carry it through because she didn’t want anyone else to suffer what she had to go through.
“In the end justice prevailed.”
Hollyfield, who was found guilty by a majority verdict, will be sentenced on February 4 at Oxford Crown Court.
