Peregrine keeps an eagle eye on councillors by dropping in on meeting!

We like to think that as a newspaper we keep an eagle eye on what is going on at County Hall.

But earlier this week a peregrine falcon beat us to it, by dropping in to hold councillors to account.

Councillor Avril Davies captured this image of the bird, which is a protected species in the UK, as she sat in a meeting at the Bucks County Council offices in Aylesbury.

And she tweeted out this picture saying that the meeting had been made a whole lot more interesting by the sighting.
