This is the first time in 17 years they have been unable to hold the much beloved cycling event.

Wheelpower said: "We are really disappointed that we can’t deliver the ride you are familiar with but we hope that isn’t going to stop you taking part in an ‘Alternative Mix 96 Tour de Vale!’ this September, to raise vital funds for the national charity for wheelchair sport, WheelPower."

"Due to the effects of the pandemic, it’s anticipated that WheelPower’s income will be reduced by over 50%.

"We are currently raising funds to help keep disabled people active at home and are working hard to reinstate our normal programme of events when restrictions are lifted.

"We would be so very grateful for any support you can give, which is needed now more than ever."

Entry is Free, but wheelpower are asking for donations to allow them to continue to to help disabled people stay active.
