Two more coronavirus cases diagnosed in Buckinghamshire

Official figures show that two more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Buckinghamshire.

Public Health England figures show that 1,030 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am Thursday morning (June 11) in Buckinghamshire, up from 1,028 the same time on Wednesday. A week before, there were 1,014 cases.

It means cases have increased by less than 0.5% over the last 24 hours, on a par with the rate of increase across the UK.

They were among the 22,179 cases recorded across the South East, a figure which rose by 54 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.

Across the UK, 291,409 people had tested positive for coronavirus as of 9am on Thursday, up from 290,143 at the same point on Wednesday, Department of Health and Social Care figures show. As of 5pm on Wednesday, 41,279 had died.
