Tring coach company offers to transport elderly customers to Covid-19 vaccination centres

A coach company based in Long Marston, near Cheddington, is offering elderly customers free transport to the Covid-19 vaccination centres.
Last night (Thursday) Masons Minibus and Coach Hire took Mr and Mrs Dunn from Cheddington, who were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary, to the Covid-19 vaccination centre in Hemel Hempstead.

Hide AdThe family business was founded by Andy and Gill Mason in 1988, his sons James and Matt and James' wife Candice are all involved in the running of the company.


Candice said: "Our older customers are so excited to be able to feel safe again. Mr and Mrs Dunn are from Cheddington, they have lived here since Mr Dunn was an evacuee during the war, they have barely left their house since March.
"We have notified local residents and customers of ours that we will provide free transport to their local vaccination centre if they are elderly and have no other means of transport.
"Many local village residents will not be able to get to the test centres, which so far are based Maxted Road in Hemel Hempstead and Stoke Mandeville stadium in Aylesbury.

Hide Ad"We will consider anyone requesting transport to get to their vaccinations, some of our drivers have volunteered to support this good cause.


"Those that want to make any sort of donation, we are donating funds to the local food banks in Ivinghoe who I am told are spending £250 per week on fresh produce for villages members how need supplies and that the number is growing by the day."
