Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds Santa Float raised thousands for charity

And organisers are proud to report that the event was a great success, raising more than £6,000 for charity.

Spokesman for the Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds Charles Chaney, said: "Grateful thanks of the President and all the club members are extended to the public and families that were visited for their generous donations. A great big thank you also to Sportif Citroen, Aylesbury who kindly loaned the club a towing vehicle, enabling Santa to make his flying visits to the children of Aylesbury.

"With different teams from various local charities we were out each night, sometimes in very inclement weather, making sure that Santa covered as many areas of the town as possible."

This money will be distributed to a number of local charities in Aylesbury and specifically to those who helped crew the collecting teams.
