£1.2 million Risborough Springs Swim and Fitness Centre opens after revamp

Princes Risbourgh residents 'delighted' after £1.2 million investment in a swim and fitness centres opens to the general public.

Cllr Graham Peart, Cabinet Member for Community, cut the ribbon on Friday 17 January at the official relaunch of the Risborough Springs Swim and Fitness Centre.

The extension work was a huge success, with little interruption to the centre users. The improvements include:

a newly extended gym

new fitness studio

virtual cycling zone, with new Stages bikes

increased class programme

reception foyer redecoration, and

poolside re-tile.

Cllr Peart said: "Wycombe District Council were determined to improve the leisure offer in Princes Risborough and agreed £1.2 million for the extension and improvements.

"When I cut the ribbon on Friday and took a look around at the finished product I was delighted to see what a great job Places Leisure has done with our funding.

"Anyone considering using the facilities will be made most welcome if they wish to check the centre out for themselves.”

WDC funded the extension and it was project managed by Places Leisure.
