Police hunt two men after GBH incident which saw man have his cheekbone fractured

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of GBH in Amersham.

At around 1am on Sunday 5 July, the victim, a man in his thirties, was in the car park of The Chequers Inn on London Road when he became involved in a verbal altercation with two men.

The first man punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground, and the second man spat at the victim.

The victim sustained a fractured cheek bone, grazes to his forearm and cuts to his fingers. He required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

The first offender is described as a white man, aged in his late twenties or early thirties, and of a slim build. He was bald and was wearing a white jumper and jeans.

The second offender is described as a white man, aged in his twenties, and of a slightly larger build than the first offender. He was wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer PC Sarah Lansley, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

“This incident was not reported to the police immediately, but there were a number of people in the car park at the time who may remember something about the incident.
