EDITOR'S COLUMN: Getting used to the 'new normal' is hard, but we are doing such a good job

Here we are in week two, official week two, as for many of us it will actually be week three.

We are all doing so well at doing our bit. Adjusting to a ‘new normal’ is really hard, but personally this week feels better than last week.

The Prime Minister has warned that it’s going to get worse before it gets better, and the next two weeks will show whether all our efforts have been worth it. Early signs from experts are showing that they have, so let’s all keep heart and keep it up, saving lives and helping the NHS and being the small-time shut-in heroes that the country needs us to be!

This week I’ve rebranded myself a bit, I’m now your very own good news fairy, and my job from now on will be to not only bring you the important information that you need, but also sing a lot louder than usual about all the good things that are still going on.
