Chiltern Railways warn of delays over Christmas holiday

Chiltern Railways has advised customers travelling on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th December that there will be engineering works taking place in the Haddenham and Thame area.

Chiltern Railways has advised customers travelling on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th December that there will be engineering works taking place in the Haddenham and Thame area. As a result, the line between Princes Risborough and Bicester is closed and all journeys will be affected.

This work forms part of Britain’s Railway Upgrade Plan and includes Network Rail track improvements to increase the reliability of the rail network.

A heavily amended timetable will be in operation and journey times may take longer than usual with passengers needing to change trains in order to reach their destination. Additionally, customers travelling to Aylesbury are advised that an amended and reduced timetable on the Marylebone – Amersham – Aylesbury Vale Parkway route will be in operation during this time.
