The production, "The Goose Who Flew” is aimed at young children and uses puppetry to tell a story about migration and meeting new people.

In a first for Buckinghamshire, High Wycombe, Iver Heath, Buckingham and Chesham libraries will be hosting this acclaimed show.

“The Goose Who Flew” is a touching story about how Goose flies south for the winter, meeting lots of quirky characters along the way. It is especially aimed at children aged 3-7 years.

The performances, perfect for a half term family treat, are part of a new initiative across Buckinghamshire Libraries, delivered by Farnham Maltings with funding from the Rothschild Foundation.

Councillor Gareth Williams is Buckinghamshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Engagement and Public Health. He said:

“We are really excited to be using our libraries as venues for these performances and we really hope local families will come along! It promises to be a real half term highlight and a very high quality show with big names Half Moon and Lots of Odds theatre putting on the production.

We pride ourselves on how our libraries are real community assets and offer so much more than just traditional book-borrowing. Take a look online to see what else is on offer at your local library!”
