Bucks Goat Centre needs your help to feed animals through Covid-19

The Bucks Goat Centre is ordinarily one of the Aylesbury Vale's most popular attractions.

But like many shops, eateries, nightspots and attractions, the centre has been forced to close indefinitely, unexpectedly at a time when they would usually be enjoying increased footfall after winter.

Unlike those other attractions however, the centre has animals to feed, and owner Ruth Gaisford has issued an urgent appeal asking for donations to help keep the animals fed.

Those animals include fairly recent addition Barnaby the silver fox. The centre recently unveiled Barnaby's new enclosure.

Bucks Herald readers are being asked to make a donation akin to the price of admission, to help ensure that the animals are fed, and the centre is still there for us all to enjoy, once the threat of Covid-19 has subsided.

Ruth said: "Whilst the Bucks Goat Centre is shut to the public through these awful times with the threat of Covid-19, our animals still need feeding and caring for. We have set up this Gofundme page to ask our visitors for a little help.

"We are not asking for much from you, any small amount would help us get through these tough times.

"We are posting daily pictures/videos and live streams on our social media sites to keep you in touch with your favourite animals on the farm.

"100% of donations will go towards our animal feed and care

"We find ourselves in very strange times so we thank you for your support.

"Animals and staff very much look forward to seeing you all back at the Bucks Goat Centre very soon."
