Aylesbowie! It's two years since we got our very own David Bowie statue!

Time really does fly doesn't it, but this week marks two years since Aylesbury got the world's first David Bowie statue.

The statue, by sculptor Andrew Sinclair was finally put in place after fans from around the world paid into a crowdfunding campaign.

Led by Friars founder David Stopps and wife Sue, the Earthy Messenger statue commemorates David Bowie's links to Aylesbury, the place he chose to debut his Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust albums. We hope you enjoy these photo memories of a wonderful day for Aylesbury!
