The van in the town's High Street was founded by Turkish-born Resul Atalay in 1988 and is now run by his twin sons Jason and Josh.

Jason, one of the directors at Atalays paid testament to the hard work of the team and his Dad, Resul Atalay.

The family are of Turkish origin, and started out in a much smaller van before progressing to the huge success they are today.

Jason describes the food as 'Turkish cuisine with a British touch'.

This award marks the THIRD time they have won the best British Kebab Van, after successes in 2018 and 2017.

They dedicate the award to Thames Valley Police Officer PC Harper, who sadly passed away in the line of duty last year.

It was reportedly PC Harper's favourite kebab van.
