Arriva bus changes to take place this week

They have implemented timetable changes this week, so read on to find out what's changed.

The alterations will see timetable changes across five services, the service alterations due to be introduced include as follows:

8/8A Aylesbury to RAF Halton: Off-peak journeys will now operate via Ingram Avenue and Welbeck Avenue in Bedgrove following feedback from our customers and local stakeholders.

9 Aylesbury to Stoke Mandeville Hospital: There are minor changes to the times of some early morning and later evening buses. On Sundays the service will operate as a clockwise circular in order to serve Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Customers from Hawkslade Farm and Southcourt can stay onboard and travel across town to reach the hospital.

60/X60 Aylesbury to Milton Keynes: Arriva said: "We are increasing the frequency of service X60 between Milton Keynes and Buckingham to run every 30 minutes throughout the day. This service will also be calling at Old Stratford to improve the public transport options for this area. Due to very low passengers numbers service 60 will no longer operate, we are working on alternative provision for Oving, North Marston, Granborough and Maids Moreton with Bucks County Council."

500 Aylesbury to Watford: This service will see an increase in frequency up to every 20 minutes.

D1 Sandhills to Leighton Buzzard: Arriva said: "We are making improvements to this service in partnership with Central Beds Council. There will be minor changes to the times of peak hour journeys to better match the revised times of London Northwestern trains to/from London Euston. Most journeys will now serve the new Grovebury Retail Park for B&M Homestore, M&S Foodhall, Pets at Home, Topps Tiles, Subway, KFC and Costa Coffee. There will be a frequency increase on Saturdays up to every 30 minutes. Due to very low passenger numbers we’ll no longer be serving Astral Park, however alternative bus stops are located nearby on Johnson Drive and Ketrel Way."

Arriva said: "In light of the government's latest advice and recommendations, as well as planned school closures, we can confirm as of Monday 23rd March, we have had to reduce the frequency of some services.

"However, we will still be operating our key routes to ensure customers can continue to access critical services, and we are continuing to tailor our service changes in line with ongoing advice from the government and public health bodies. Customers will be made aware of any ongoing service changes via our website and social media channels.
