Pauline Quirke to join Midnight Walkers for hospice charity

Best known for her roles in Birds of a Feather, Emmerdale and Broadchurch, Pauline said: “I am excited to support the 2016 Midnight Walk in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, which will see ladies from all over Aylesbury Vale uniting to support families in the local community battling life-limiting illnesses.”

This will be FNHC’s seventh Midnight Walk, having already raised £350,000 for the hospice.

FNHC’s events fundraiser, Michelle Merrison, said: “We hope this will be our biggest year yet. Having someone as influential as Pauline Quirke supporting the Midnight Walk is really exciting and shows how much the event has grown over the last seven years.”

FNHC have introduced something else exciting for its seventh year – a brand new offer on the seventh day of every month leading up to the walk in July.

Michelle added: “We have already revealed two of our offers for the Midnight Walk including a free place for teams of seven or more who sign up and a free Glo4Flo gift bag – complete with face paint voucher for the night and GLO accessories.

“Keep your eyes peeled for future offers in April, May, June and July – we have some very exciting ones lined up!”

Registration is open for the Midnight Walk at www.gemstonewalk.co.uk or on the Facebook page (Gemstone Walk) at an entry price of £18pp which includes training tips, food and drink during the walk, a well-deserved breakfast at the end and a souvenir medal for each participant.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity has to raise over £650,000 a year to continue providing support and care to families battling life-limiting illnesses in Bucks, Beds and parts of Oxon.

Pauline set up the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) in Aylesbury, based at Stoke Mandeville School, which is now part of the 100-strong academy group.
