The final proposals are being drawn up following an informal consultation in January.

And the next stage is a formal public consultation, which is due to go ahead in July.

Bucks County Councillor for Buckingham Warren Whyte, who is also Buckingham Local Area Forum chairman, said: “I appreciate this has taken longer than expected but we have been keen to take on board all the feedback from the consultation in January.

“We’ve managed to extend the scope to parts of Western Avenue, following a number of suggestions and requests.”

Drivers will have two less hours to use waiting bays on West Street and Castle Street.

There are proposed changes to waiting restrictions in Market Hill, Verney Close and Market Square.

A new disabled bay has been proposed for the High Street, with ‘no entry’ and one way traffic flow at the junction with High Street.
