Pair charged following drugs operation

Two people have been charged with drugs offences as part of a police crackdown dubbed Operation Awareness.

James Michael, 23, of Western Avenue, Buckingham, has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of cannabis, one count of possessing MDMA, and one count of concealing, disguising, converting, transferring or removing criminal property.

Michael is due to appear at Aylesbury Magistrates Court on July 13.

A 17-year-old boy from Bicester has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply cannabis and he is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on July 3.

The charges resulted from Operation Awareness patrols, carried out to tackle drug crime across Aylesbury Vale in December last year and in February and March this year.

Two other people remain on police bail following arrests made as part of Operation Awareness patrols in Cheddington in December last year.

A 28-year-old man from Aylesbury was arrested on suspicion of possessing cathinone derivative and on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis. He has been released on police bail until July 2.

A 20-year-old woman from Aston Clinton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cathinone derivative.

She was released on police bail until June 24.
