Speaking to the United Nations, President Obama said the coalition, which includes Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE, will help to ‘dismantle this network of death’ currently waged by Isis.

Prime Minister David Cameron said this was ‘a fight you cannot opt out of’ and Parliament is expected to be recalled on Friday so MPs can debate its position on a military response.
