Staff and pupils at Oakley Church of England Combined School are celebrating their latest Ofsted inspection which has graded them as ‘Good’ again.
The reports highlights the ‘highly committed staff team and governors’ and the ‘sunny disposition’ of pupils who act as ‘very positive school ambassadors’.
Inspector Elizabeth Far reported that “since the last inspection standards have continued to rise. Many pupils make good progress and achieve the standards expected for their age in reading and mathematics.
“Children in early years make at least typical progress and many make rapid gains in their learning. Last year, the proportion of children who were ready for year 1 at the end of reception was above that found nationally.”
The full report can be found on the Ofsted website.
Places are available in some year groups. If you would like to visit the school and meet headteacher, Julia Sulston, call the office to make an appointment on 01844 238364.
