A new Sainsbury’s Local store opened in Bedgrove this morning.

The Camborne Avenue convenience shop’s official ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the deputy mayor Tuffail Hussain and representatives from the shop’s local charity, Children’s Health and Therapy (CHAT).

The shop has created 23 job and includes fresh fruit and vegetables, bakery goods and other convenience products.

Store manager Andy Mayes said: “My colleagues and I are looking forward to welcoming the local community into the store over the coming weeks.

“I have a fantastic team in place and am confident that we can provide an excellent level of customer service and really complement the vibrant mix of shops already trading in Jansel Square.”

CHAT is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for Buckinghamshire families with children who have individual healthcare needs by providing funds for equipment and short term respite care.
