Budding musicians and new bands are invited to perform at a series of gigs designed to give unsigned talent the opportunity to play to an appreciative crowd.
A new season of Limelight Gig Nights is being put together for the intimate venue’s spring/summer 2016 programme at Queens Park Centre in Aylesbury.
Local performers aged 18 and under are invited to get in touch as soon as possible.
Dario Knight, manager of the Limelight Theatre, said: “Since taking over running the Limelight earlier this year one of my aims has been to revive regular gig nights for young up and coming talent.
“We’re chiefly looking for performers aged 18 and under, acts you won’t see playing the pub circuit yet.
“But that’s not to say we’re not interested in hearing from older local performers interested in playing at the Limelight too.”
The theatre has played host over the past few years to plenty of bands that are popular on the local scene including Callow Saints, Raving Wild and Palahniuk.
And the venue recently hosted the inaugural live event from local tape label Structured Disasters.
Mr Knight said: “The Limelight is the perfect venue for bands or singers who are just starting out.
“It’s an itnimate performance space, ideal for big bands or solo performers.
“A proper community venue.”
