Musical fireworks with Tring Festival of Fire

In addition to the centrepiece firework display being set to music - this year it’s movie theme favourites - there will be live music to suit all tastes from the stage.

Rock Chorus, Tring School Swing Band, Sophie Ray and Harry Phillips will perform live from the stage at Tring Park Cricket Club.

The annual firework fest will feature a fantastic array of food and drink stalls and a guy parade.

Rock Chorus was formed by Lauren Field in 2009 and has choirs in five towns including Berkhamsted.

The choirs perform regularly at a wide variety of events and Lauren said: “I’ve heard great things about the firework show in Tring and we’re looking forward to contributing to a great community atmosphere.”

Tring School Swing Band will perform an energetic up tempo mix of big band classics and current hits such as Little Brown Jug and Uptown Funk.

Tring girl Sophie Ray blends soulful and haunting vocals against a piano and electronic backdrop.

She said: “After a busy year playing some amazing venues and festivals around the UK, I’m excited to be back performing a local gig in my hometown to round off what will be a very memorable 2015.”

Acoustic guitarist Harry Phillips is a favourite from local music festivals including Berkofest and Wigginstock. Harry and his band will perform a mix of folk and rock tunes.

The approximate runing time for the evening is:

5.30pm, doors open, light music through the PA, food and drink on sale.

6pm, entertainment commences on the stage with Tring School Swing Band.

6.30pm, the bonfire is lit; winner of the Tring Guy competition; all guys added to the bonfire; first fireworks lit.

6.50pm, entertainment continues with Sophie Ray and Rock Chorus.

7.15pm, main firework display commences to movie themed music.

7.45pm, entertainment continues with Harry Phillips; food stalls and bar remain open.

8.30pm, close.

Early bird family tickets cost £14 for two adults and up to three children under 16 and are available via www.facebook.com/TringFestivalOfFire or from Beechwood Fine Foods, The Akeman and Michael Anthony, all in Tring.

On the gate tickets on the night will cost £18 for families, £7 for adults, £5 for under 16s. Under fives go free.

In addition to cricket, the club house and facilities are also used by hockey, tennis, running, table tennis, youth football, lacrosse and health and fitness clubs.

All money raised is invested in maintaining the facility for the benefit of the sports listed.
