Music to return to National Bowl this summer with Drive-In shows

The National Bowl in Milton Keynes has been picked as one of 12 venues across the UK to host this summer’s Utilita Live From The Drive In series.

Some of the biggest names in music including The Streets, Gary Numan, Beverley Knight and Ash will be taking part in the events which begin at the end of July and run through August and into September.

Live Nation is re imagining the live music experience during a time of social distancing by allowing fans to enjoy concerts in a one-of-a-kind drive-in setting from their own private individual viewing zones next to their cars.

There will also be carefully curated family events for kids of all ages from West End theatre extravaganzas to interactive science shows, fun live music and DJs and some very well-known TV stars and characters from children television.

Confirmed live performances at the National Bowl so far include Ash, Beverley Knight, Bjorn Again, Brainiac Live, Brand New Heavies, Cream Classical Ibiza, Dizzee Rascal, Embrace, Gary Numan, Jack Savoretti, Kaiser Chiefs, Lightning Seeds, Reggae Roast Vs Gentleman's Dub Club, Russell Watson, Sigala, Skindred, The Snuts, The Streets, The Zutons and Tony Hadley.

Each event will have an approximate capacity of 300 cars and boast concert quality sound from a live stages with a state of the art sound system, lighting rig and high definition LED screens, creating an arena or stadium concert feel in a safe drive-in setting adhering to the Government’s current social distancing rules to protect fans, artists, crews and staff at all times.

There will be morning, afternoon, early evening and late evening performances depending on the artist and productions and some performances will run twice on the same day.

You will be able to purchase a ticket for two to seven people per car. Vehicles with more than seven people will not be allowed into the event and there are restrictions on the type of vehicle permitted.

Tickets will be available 10am on Monday, June 22. Fans will be able to buy a standard or premium tickets - which include a guaranteed location in the first three rows from the front of the stage and priority exit at the end of the show.

Customers with accessible requirements will be able to purchase an accessible ticket.
