Mum's marathon challenge
Nicola Goodchild, 34 will be running the London Marathon this year in aid of Rainbow Preschool.

Hide AdShe is the Preschool’s Manager and a keen runner and has decided to run for the preschool to help raise much-needed funds.
She said: “I’m not good at it and I am not by any stretch of the imagination fast but I love it.
“My body doesn’t quite seem built for it really, however running gives me some much needed time out from the pressures of daily life and allows me to focus on only one thing, breathing.”

Hide AdAnd in the time that she has been challenging herself Nicola has alreday got a few big runs under helr belt.
She has already completed a number of half marathons and the MK Marathon, but this is her first time taking part in the huge London event.
Nicola’s own daughter Emily, attended Rainbow Preschool, where the mum says she was nurtured and cared for sensitively. Her self confidence grew as she progressed, she learned to socialise with others and became independent.

Hide AdNicola said: “I worked as a childminder and dropped children off and picked them up from Rainbow for six years before becoming the manager.
“The care Rainbow offers the children in my opinion, is beyond what any parent would expect from an early years setting.
“The staff that work at Rainbow are so experienced with the early years children and have a deep understanding of how children develop and where they need to be heading to make the best possible progress.”

Hide AdRainbow Preschool first opened in 1979, and nearly 38 years later the preschool is still going strong.
It recently underwent an upgrade with a newly decorated interior and an outside space funded by a National Lottery grant.
