Well a mum from Haddenham is here to help, with a brand new business venture.
Rachel Martin moved to the village three years ago with her husband Chris and son Alex, six.
At the time she worked as a high-flying senior manger for Santander, moving to the firm as a consultant after 17 years with the Bank of America.
But Mrs Martin, who describes herself as ‘annoyingly organised’, wanted a new challenge which would give her more time to spend with Alex.
And that is when Pink Spaghetti came along, and after buying a franchise, Mrs Martin will now offer a whole range of services as a personal assistant to other busy parents.
She said: “There’s a burgeoning number of microbusinesses across Buckinghamshire, many of which are operated from homes by people who are not in the position to employ a full-time or even part-time assistant.
“Basically, Pink Spaghetti exists to take away the leg work from a business owner and give them more time to spend on the parts of the business that they enjoy.”
Mrs Martin made her career in project managing for banks, and says that she is embracing the opportunity to put her skills to the test for a whole range of small firms.
She said: “I will do all the things that business owners don’t enjoy, like filing, managing social media, organising email accounts and project planning.
“Of course I’m sure there will be a few things I won’t do, but others at Pink Spaghetti have told me that one minute they will organising an office, and the next minute they will be sourcing a reindeer for an event.
“This is totally different from what I have been doing because in some ways I am selling myself.
“You have to build a rapport with the people you are dealing with and I am really excited about that.”
Mrs Martin launched her franchise this week by quoting prices for her first set of clients.
