A Motts employee who goes the extra mile with passengers has been named one of the friendliest coach drivers in the country.
Brian Davis from Aylesbury was given a silver award at the recent national UK Coach Awards held in Manchester.
They are presented annually to coach driver professionals who best demonstrate outstanding customer service, who are friendly, helpful, conscientious and mindful of passenger comfort.
The judges were particularly impressed with the number of customer commendations Brian received.
He joined Aylesbury-based Motts Travel and its holiday division Crusader Holidays back in 2012 and has since become one of the company’s top drivers achieving Crusader Holidays Driver of the Year in 2015.
He regularly generates more commendations and requests for his services than any other driver, and customer feedback consistently demonstrates that he goes above and beyond what is expected of a good driver.
Brian, whose jobs include school runs, touring holidays on the continent and private hire for a professional sports team, is popular across the board with passengers and colleagues. He was also the first driver to be nominated for a Pride of Bucks employee of the year award.
Brian said: “I was happy and very humbled to have been nominated by our customers for this award. When my name was announced for the Silver award I was stunned.
“Some of the challenges in this job test both patience and resolve, so it’s great to have this recognition which tells me I’m doing some things right.
“I am grateful to Motts for the resources they provide, this could not have been achieved without the team’s support.”
