Inventors say the new way of payingwill eliminate queuing at railway stations.

Dave Slocombe, product owner of Mobile Apps at Trainline says: “We’ve been working closely with train operators nationally to make mobile tickets a reality for customers and it’s fantastic to see roll-out across the full Chiltern Railways network.

“The live nature of a mobile ticket in our App means that you can time your trip to the station to perfection, or relax in the coffee shop, safe in the knowledge of knowing exactly where your train is and exactly what platform you need to get to. In addition, buying in advance can save an average of 43% compared to booking on the day.”
