Manager's shock as swastikas painted on windows of Aylesbury pub

A pub manager has spoken of his shock after swastikas were painted on the windows of his pub overnight.

Matt Barry, manager of The Feathers in Kingsbury, first became aware of the incident after being contacted by this newspaper this morning (Tuesday).

He said: “I would like to assure people that this has absolutely nothing to do with us.

“I will look through the CCTV to see what happened and when and then report it to the police.

“The cleaner removed it straight away this morning because it happened sometime after midnight once we had closed for the night.

“Everyone was in good spirits last night and we had the football on, it was all very normal.

“I have been here three years and nothing like this has happened before, it’s quite a shock.”
