Man seriously injured after car crashes into tree


A driver was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after his car smashed into a tree opposite a well-known auction house.

The accident happened on Saturday at around 11am in Calvert Road, near Middle Claydon, opposite the entance to Dickins Auctioneers.

The male driver, who is aged in his twenties and was travelling towards Middle Middle in a blue Vauxhall Astra, is being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Police launched an appeal today (Sunday) for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car prior to the collision to contact investigating officer PC Chris Ruvolo-Jones on 101.
