The sentencing relates to two incidents which occurred between 2014 and 2016 in which he lured a teenage girl to locations in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire and then raped her.

Vaughan was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment, and will sign the sex offenders register for life.

Senior investigating officer, Det Sgt Tim Robins of Force CID based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I hope that this sentencing will give some solace to his victim, who has been extremely traumatised by what she was put through by Vaughan.

“I would like to pay tribute to the victim, for her bravery in reporting these crimes, and I would say to anyone who is a victim of a sexual offence to come forward and report it, as we will take it seriously, we will support you and we will investigate in order to bring people like Vaughan to justice.”
