Man arrested after '˜nasty' three-car collision on A418

A man has been arrested for road traffic offences after a three-car collision on the A418 Aylesbury Road in Bierton yesterday morning (Sunday).

At 8.55am a 50-year-old woman was driving towards Rowsham in her Toyota Yaris when it collided with a Renault Megane travelling in the opposite direction towards Aylesbury.

The third vehicle involved, a VW Up!, driven by a 17 year-old male was travelling behind the Toyota.

All of those involved were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

The male driving the Megane has been arrested and bailed until August on suspicion of dangerous driving, excess alcohol and other road traffic offences.

Investigating officer PC John Belson of the Roads Policing Unit said: “This was a particularly nasty collision.

“It is very fortunate that nobody was seriously injured.

“I would like to thank the public for helping at the scene.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact me immediately.

“The easiest way to do this is by calling 101.”
