Ninety-four percent of people who have responded to a public consultation are against a developer’s crematorium plans for Watermead.
Westerleigh wants to build a crematorium close to the estate’s iconic lake, which is currently used for leisure purposes.
Watermead Parish Council has already had an appeal against an Aylesbury Vale District Council planning decision rejected. But earlier this month the authority launched a public consultation to gauge public opinion on whether a second fight would be welcomed by residents.
Of the 345 respondents, 325 were in favour of carrying on.
