Lunch marks retirement of under-sheriff

All of Buckinghamshire’s high sheriffs from the past 16 years turned out for a lunch to mark the retirement of the county’s under-sheriff.

John Leggett served in the role for more than 15 years and the lunch, held at the Judges Lodgings in Aylesbury, was attended by all the high sheriffs he served under between 1999 and 2015.

The main role of the undersheriff is to support the high sheriff in their duties.

Sarah Plumridge will take over the role from Mr Leggett.
