Nadiya Hussain of Great British Bake Off fame and other TV cookery stars are set to serve up a real treat as the Thame Food Festival rolls into town.

The weather looks set to behave as winners of two popular TV cookery shows are among the star names at this year’s Thame Food Festival.

Nadiya Hussain, who won last year’s Great British Bake Off and Jane Devonshire, who won this year’s MasterChef are the headline acts at this year’s annual festival of all things food.

Taking pride of place in Thame town centre, the event attracted 20,000 visitors last year.

Among the other baking stars making an appearance are former Bake Off finalists Miranda Gore Browne, Richard Burr and Chetna Makan as well as Benoit Blin, head pastry chef at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir restaurant for more than 20 years.

Among the many other attractions to look out for are Thame family butchers Newitt’s who will be offering free samples and advice throughout the day, and MasterChef champion Natalie Coleman who will be hosting a cookery event alongside local schoolchildren.

Festival regulars Sophie Grigson and the Caldesis plus Lucie Greenwood from The Milk Shed, who is based in Weston-on-the-Green will also be making appearances.

A pop-up bookshop will be open throughout the festival giving you the chance to pick up copies of the latest books by some of the event’s star names.

There is also a pop-up pub and live music plus a prosecco and cheese tasting workshop and baking competition The Big Thame Bake.
