No firm knows better about exporting a great product than Pinewood, and the iconic film studios will play host to the Buckinghamshire Business First event tomorrow (Friday).

Over 110 businesses attended the exporting for growth seminar, and firms were provided with practical advice and support to develop their exporting potential.

Phillippa Batting, managing director of Buckinghamshire Business First, said: “It’s great to see so many local businesees with global ambitions.

“More than half of Buckinghamshire’s businesses with ten or more employees are active exporters and as the Growth Hub for Buckinghamshire, we are keen to encourage more businessses to expand their operations and provide them with the information they need to flourish.”

More businesses have started in Buckinghamshire than anywhere else in the UK, and Lewis Scott, regional director of UK Trade and Investment South East said that increasing export could bring big money to the region.

He said: “Exporting goods and services helps British businesses to grow, creates jobs and has the potential to add £30billion to the UK economy.

“UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) can help businesses of all sizes into overseas markets.

“Research shows 85 per cent of UKTI clients reported that exporting had enabled them to achieve a level of growth not otherwise possible.”
