Ticket sales to the Friars club King Crimson gig at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre in August/September have got off to a flying start.

More than 700 have been sold following the announcement of the group’s historic two night Aylesbury concert last week.

Rock legends King Crimson first played Friars in 1969 when the club was first formed at the new Friarage Hall in Walton Street, returning a decade later to a sell-out concert at the town’s now Civic Centre venue.

Friars boss David Stopps said: “Although ticket prices are higher that anything we’ve done before in Aylesbury, these two all seated shows on August 31 and September 1 are far exceeding our expectations.”

Tickets still are available at £45 and £35 from the Waterside Theatre box office on online at
