Staff from a number of Aylesbury businesses joined forces as part of Clean for the Queen, a national initiative to encourage people to keep their neighbourhoods tidy for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Representatives from Tesco Broadfields, McDonald’s and TK Maxx tidied up on Monday afternoon along the road side from the Bicester Road roundabout to the Tesco Broadfields store.
Customer experience manager at Tesco Broadfields Sharon Hewett said: “We had cleared up both sides and mainly found empty bottles.
“We took part because we are a part of the community and we want to help keep it clean and tidy.
“When we spoke to other businesses they were also very keen to take part as well.”
The campaign has been led by Country Life and supported by Keep Britain Tidy and the Garfield Weston Foundation.
