A teenage rugby player who had a ‘cheeky sense of humour’ has been named as the victim of Sunday’s A413 crash.
Jeremy Tombs, 13, was the passenger in the vehicle which crashed near Whitchurch at around 3.30pm.
His mother is believed to have also been in the car, and is said to still be in hospital.
Today Darren Lyon, head at Sir Thomas Fremantle School where Jeremy played on the rugby team, paid tribute.
He said: “He was a happy chap, quiet and with a cheeky sense of humour.
“He was a keen rugby player and was well liked by everyone.
“Both students and staff are getting support from various agencies, we held an assembly this morning and everyone is very upset.
“This is not something that you plan for.
“Jeremy was well liked across the board, we are a close community and when something tough like this happens it affects everyone.”
