James Redden plans record breaking solo trek to the South Pole

James will be skiing solo to the South Pole, unsupported and is attempting to break the UK record by completing the journey in under 30 days.

In March 2017 James will be preparing for his South Pole trip by doing a solo ski of 350 miles across Norway.

James Redden, who is an explorer, writer, Public speaker and fundraiser said: “My dearest wish is that Soundabout will gain one determined and dedicated supporter for each and every one of the 700 miles I ski on the journey to the South Pole.”

As a former soldier, James is used to surviving in arduous conditions. He has travelled extensively around the globe and in 2016 completed a ski to the North Pole fundraising for other charities.

James lives in the Buckinghamshire area and is also a writer, public speaker and technology specialist. His love of adventure is equalled to his desire to help shine a light on the good causes that he fundraises for.
