A bowling alley’s first month in business has been an ‘amazing success’ and now the man behind the idea is looking forward to the next twelve months.

Aidan Kirwan unveiled Rogue Bowling on December 6 to customers who had waited with baited breath to witness the opening of the first bowling alley in Aylesbury since the closure of the much-loved Jardines in 2012.

The air-conditioned warehouse unit in Gatehouse Way has been transformed into a 14-lane bowling alley with wi-fi, party rooms and a cafe.

Aidan said: “We’ve had a really great start to trading – a successful end to the year and a great start to the business.

“People are just starting to recognise that we’re here and the lanes are packed out at the weekend.

“It’s all going really well and we’re looking forward to the year ahead.

Joining the management team is Kevin Pollard, the former manager at Jardines who is planning to resurrect the bowling leagues in the next few months.

A new year’s party attracted 100 revellers and more events are planned.
