Home manager Wendy Luck said: “We can’t believe it’s been a year since we opened. We are really proud of the wonderful community we have here.

“The staff have worked hard to create a fun, enabling environment for our residents who benefit from top quality care. This would not have been possible without everyone at Buckingham Lodge pulling together.”

“It’s been an exciting year for Buckingham Lodge. Since we opened, we’ve held a beach party, an Old Time Music Hall event and Christmas fair as well as other lovely events for the residents. A highlight for me was when we all dressed up in Victorian costumes; that was great fun. We look forward to many years to come.”

“But the fun doesn’t stop there – the local community are invited to attend our garden party with dog show on May 21, where we will be launching our new bee education centre.”
