An illegal immigrant trapped a 17-year-old girl in his bedroom and sexually assaulted her before police came to her rescue.

Ehtaz Az Ahmed, 23, from Pakistan, struck up a friendship with the ‘vulnerable’ teenager after meeting her at an Aylesbury nightclub.

On the evening of August 19, he took her to a local garage to buy a bottle of vodka before returning to his flat in Bicester Road, Aylesbury, where they watched a film in his bedroom.

The girl reported feeling unwell after drinking large amounts of the vodka and attempted to sleep on Ahmed’s bed, when he wrapped his arms around her.

Aylesbury Crown Court heard she felt ‘uncomfortable’ and ‘awkward’ when he then suggested watching some pornography which he proceeded to start playing on his laptop.

The girl said after rebuffing Ahmed’s advances she felt ‘completely powerless’ as he put her arms behind her back and began to undress her. After attempting to leave the room, Ahmed told her: “There is no way you are leaving unless you jump out of the window.”

Ahmed forced his tongue into her mouth, undressed himself and attempted to force her head and hands towards his genitals.

The victim frantically sent text messages to her friends asking for help. They called the police, who arrived at Ahmed’s home and arrested him.

Ahmed, who should not have been in the country as his visa had expired, pleaded guilty to sexual assault.

The court, sitting today, heard he was ‘ashamed and sorry’ for his actions.

Judge Montgomery QC told him: “Your victim was considerably younger than you. As her friend she put her trust in you and you took advantage of that. She was a particularly vulnerable girl and by your actions she is even more vulnerable now.

“She was especially vulnerable on that night and when she recognised your intentions towards her changed she tried to escape. She was sick out of the window. You took that opportunity to sexually assault her over a period of time. She had been powerless to resist you.”

Ahmed was sentenced to 16 months in prison and will be registered on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years. Following his sentence he will be deported back to his home country.
