Huge tree branch falls on person in Aylesbury park during high winds

A person has been hit and trapped by a huge branch which broke off of a tree in the Oakfield Road park and play area during high winds this afternoon.

The incident occurred around 4pm.

An ambulance crew arrived at the scene around 4.10pm and police are also present.

The huge branch, which had another five or six branches attached to it, broke off the tree in the high winds sweeping Aylesbury Vale on Saturday.

It is not known whether the person is a man or a woman but they did appear to be moving and communicating with officers while trapped.
