The latest addition to the Aylesbury Vale District Council website, Aylesbury Vale My Account, has now reached over 10,000 users in the three months since its launch.
It enables residents to manage their details; pay and view their council tax; sign up to the garden waste service; order new or replacement bins; renew or apply for licenses; view benefit statements; apply for a single person discount and talk to an advisor via webchat.
Additionally, one lucky resident could win £250 off their annual council tax bill by signing up to manage their council tax by February 26 (T&C’s apply).
On average it costs 0.17p per website visit to resolve a query, compared to £5 per phone call and £14 for every face-to-face visit.
Cllr Janet Blake, cabinet member for business transformation, said: “Aylesbury Vale My Account is the next stage of our website’s evolution and brings it in sync with today’s digital age.
“You can access its range of features whenever you want 24/7, on any device, with no need for a phone call.”
