How a single sack of rubbish cost Aylesbury man an eye-watering amount of money

Krzysztof Huryn, 29, of Wytham Way, threw the rubbish in bushes in Sedrup Lane, off the A418 to the west of Aylesbury.

It contained simple household waste that could have fitted in an average bin – things like snack packets, beer cans, fruit juice and a Lidl carrier bag.

The rubbish was found on September 2 2015 by a member of the public, who called investigators from the Waste Partnership for Bucks.

Details found within the dumped waste led the investigators to speak to Huryn.

When interviewed, he confirmed it was his, admitted dumping it but could not explain why.

Magistrates fined Huryn £860, and ordered clean-up and prosecution costs to be paid in the sum of £400.

A victim surcharge of £86 was also levied – making a total to pay of £1,346.

Bucks cabinet member and chairman of the waste partnership, Warren Whyte said: “The sizeable fine handed down in this case for the dumping of a relatively small amount of rubbish shows how unacceptable this behaviour is in our community.”
