House prices growing quicker than London

Buck’s average house price increased by £2,329 (0.8%) in May to reach a new high of £303,633.

According to new stats, over the last year, prices in Buckinghamshire have risen 9.7 per cent (£26,913), ahead of the 4.6 per cent (£7,943) recorded across the

country as a whole and the 9.1 per cent (£39,837) recorded in London.

There were 575 house sales in Buckinghamshire in March, a fall of 98 or 14.6 per cent over the same month last year.

Despite this, at 9,370 the number of house sales in Buckinghamshire over the last year is 4.6 per cent above the level recorded for previous year.
